ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's Leo Gregory was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacobo Nores in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Efrain Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Vinicio Aurre fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's protests and gave Vinicio Aurre a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Aurre. A collision led to ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Efrain Aimar hit a great ball. After 32 minutes, Simon Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Tab in the 54th minute of the match. Venancio Tab's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Tab helped the player get up and apologised. Venancio Tab kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Efrain Aimar hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Jaime Pardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcin Kalemba. ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 64th minute of play forced ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's goalkeeper Marcin Kalemba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. Venancio Tab got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 minutes of play ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's Simon Duarte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Simon Duarte hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. ROCORETRIKELUNOCMO's attentive Ildefonso Oton managed to snatch the ball when Jose Sanz made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Paraguay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
