Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anacleto Soin to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Canada got a freekick which was hit by Regan Jordan. If Tony Justus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. Bona Dios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Edwards in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Canada's Filip Edwards ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bona Dios. Bona Dios yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Canada's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
