Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hüseyin Rahmi Toper during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 minutes of play, Peru's Luz Tejedor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilkka Markkula was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alonso Berganza made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Eduardo Elia. Ilkka Markkula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 9th minute of play. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportes Santa Cruz's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilkka Markkula came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of the match. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalie prevented a goal. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Podador Raheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Podador Raheiro in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilkka Markkula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Marcus Edström sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 44 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Podador Raheiro fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportes Santa Cruz's protests and gave Podador Raheiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Podador Raheiro to maneuver through the defense. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan was substituted for Podador Raheiro. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Trayko Gradinarski replaced Zhou Yao Si. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Yan Zhi Chuan made the kick off in the second half. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilkka Markkula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilkka Markkula came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 61st minute. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 67th minute. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Ilkka Markkula, making the score, 0-4. If Yan Zhi Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julian Murillo scored 0-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilkka Markkula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafael Gallo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilkka Markkula came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Gallo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Deportes Santa Cruz.
