Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 3 in the game by Podador Raheiro from a close distance when the talented Pedro Manzanares managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. Podador Raheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. 12 minutes into the game, Podador Raheiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares. Podador Raheiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ilkka Markkula came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Santino Seco. But to his dismay, Santino Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Podador Raheiro in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. After 21 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilkka Markkula was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Podador Raheiro came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Podador Raheiro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 29 minutes, Antonio Gorri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Gorri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Podador Raheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Podador Raheiro sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Marcus Edström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 43rd minute Antonio Gorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Marcus Edström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Trayko Gradinarski was substituted for Zhou Yao Si. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan was substituted for Podador Raheiro. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yan Zhi Chuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Luis Cazalla threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jacinto Gebhard quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan Zhi Chuan in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yan Zhi Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Edström in the 65th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abram Secada was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Colombia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ignacio Mastache's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Ilkka Markkula skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Trayko Gradinarski pulled a muscle in his leg after 83 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Luis Cazalla charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Cazalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Jaume Berecedo replaced Trayko Gradinarski. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Gebhard. When Colombia's Abram Secada in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalie prevented a goal. Yan Zhi Chuan scored 4-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
