With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bengt Bouchard in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marquinhos Teixeira was slow to take the kick. During this time FÊNIX F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Marquinhos Teixeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. After 73 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Loureiro. In the 74th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Marquinhos Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arthur Loureiro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Damian Fetor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 91st minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Bengt Bouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
