The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, A.A. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Charlie Boström sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Joel Campos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Boström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Charlie Boström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 3-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Boström in the 40th minute of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elliott Bergsten scored 4-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute, A.A. Francana's Roman Koenig ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Boström, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute Charlie Boström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Secco hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Renan Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charlie Boström in the 76th minute of play. If Charlie Boström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Charlie Boström made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A.A. Francana were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roman Koenig took the corner. The corner ended in Roman Koenig almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Bergsten in the 87th minute of play.
