Pacorro Aguilar went to the cornerflag to take it. Pacorro Aguilar made a great header on ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pacorro Aguilar went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 24th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. But to his dismay, Pacorro Aguilar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pacorro Aguilar. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Pacorro Aguilar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The supporters of Venezuela booed when ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jedrzej Kloczko didn't get a good kick on the ball. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Santos Sanz was substituted for Refugio Colsa. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Noel Guerrero was substituted for Gaspar Alborza. In the 70th minute Pero Falla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pero Falla in the 74th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
