Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo santillana, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nereo santillana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Noboa during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Figueres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Figueres in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máximo Maestro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Eder Mangas made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. During the 28th minute of the match Eliseo Noboa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Figueres in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 minutes, Serapio Baños mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Armal F.C. and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Real Armal F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serapio Baños didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Armal F.C.'s Dionisio Figueres got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Costa Rica were furious when Abel Carballo was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 58 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Nereo santillana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 64th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Eder Mangas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Maestro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Armal F.C.'s Dionisio Figueres. But to his dismay, Dionisio Figueres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 77 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Eder Mangas came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo santillana in the 85th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nereo santillana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Armal F.C.'s Eder Mangas. But to his dismay, Eder Mangas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Máximo Maestro made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Real Armal F.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
