Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Matador's Haroldo Corderun started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelino Francesco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 2ndth minute tested the skills of Emilio Sugar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 3rd match minute, Matador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Saturnin to maneuver through the defense. Emilio Sugar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Macias in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Matador got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Rodas. Rosendo Vito, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Matador's goalkeeper Emilio Sugar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Garikoitz. In the 14th minute Pastor Bartuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to VERΛ getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Santos Eyague hit a great ball. Jaime Rodas took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Honrio. Ricardo Honrio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Matador booed when VERΛ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Llorian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Honrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Corderun in the 26th minute of the match. When Marcelino Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the VERΛ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Francesco couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Matador getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ezequiel Saturnin hit a great ball. Emilio Sugar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Francesco in the 33rd minute of the match. VERΛ's Ricardo Honrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Bartuelo in the 34th minute of play. Emilio Sugar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Eyague charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santos Eyague the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santos Eyague hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Emilio Sugar was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Marcelino Francesco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelino Francesco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Marcelino Francesco made the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Corderun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ricardo Honrio made a huge save. Eleuterio Rami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Emilio Sugar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciriaco Richie's late challenge caught a VERΛ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciriaco Richie helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes Matador got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Richie. 62 minutes into the match, VERΛ's goalkeeper Ricardo Honrio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Martxot. In the 64th minute Marcelino Francesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes VERΛ got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Macias. When VERΛ's Marcelino Francesco in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 81 played minutes Matador got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Medardo. Matador's Emilio Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Vito in the 82nd minute of play. Clemente Guillem hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Haroldo Corderun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Ricardo Honrio made a huge save. In the 91st minute Haroldo Corderun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, VERΛ's Danilo Garikoitz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A hard shot by Ezequiel Saturnin from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Honrio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ricardo Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Rodas in the 94th minute of play. Danilo Garikoitz hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. VERΛ had won after a very even match.
