A S Y A™'s Omar Olo got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Angelo Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Lorien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match Simon Loramendi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Honrio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ricardo Honrio made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Albino Osoro sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Honrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albino Osoro in the 30th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramon Piarres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Honrio. That made the score 3-0 in the 34 minute of play. Ricardo Honrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Osoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute of the match A S Y A™ got a corner. VERΛ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Simon Loramendi ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Osoro to make the kick off. Ricardo Honrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Piarres, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ricardo Honrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Osoro in the 60th minute of play. Danilo Garikoitz came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Santiago Lorien could save by the left post. VERΛ's Ricardo Honrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Loramendi in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Ramon Piarres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Honrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Vito kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A S Y A™ made a substitution. Isaias Florian replaced Albino Osoro. In the 68th minute of the match Simon Loramendi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Honrio skillfully saved the ball. Ricardo Honrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Florian, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ricardo Honrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Piarres's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 76 minutes into the game, VERΛ's Ignacio Macias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Lorien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in A S Y A™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Ricardo Honrio came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by A S Y A™'s Isaias Florian. But to his dismay, Isaias Florian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. 88 minutes into the match, Isaias Florian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Honrio. VERΛ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaias Florian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. In the 92nd minute, Simon Loramendi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Honrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Ramon Piarres's late challenge caught a VERΛ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Piarres helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of VERΛ booed when A S Y A™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Piarres didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, VERΛ's Santiago Lorien threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelino Francesco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A S Y A™'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
