Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehat Kovaçi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Sören Tunberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehat Kovaçi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A well-hit corner resulted in Eustaquio Mede heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mikael Liberatore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnoud de Pelsmakere having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Cougars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Liberatore came free, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cougars FC defense, Mikael Liberatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnoud de Pelsmakere. The Cougars FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnoud de Pelsmakere should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Jannic De Vreese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cougars FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wargön the free kick. In the 44th minute, Jannic De Vreese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Mede. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Nesto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wargön's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Gimlinge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Sören Tunberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge in the 95th minute of play. The Wargön players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
