In the 15th minute Cyprian Oliszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ORIZABA F.C.'s zone, Fiori Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehat Kovaçi in the 28th minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Oliver Kan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Cougars FC's Arnoud de Pelsmakere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Cougars FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cougars FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while ORIZABA F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
