An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Lozano in the 16th minute of play forced Acuña's goalkeeper Sergio Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Alex Lozano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sergio Frances was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Acuña's Sergio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Arias in the 21st minute of play. Sergio Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Gómez in the 22nd minute of the match. GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Max Gómez got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Frances came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Alex Lozano. But to his dismay, Alex Lozano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Acuña's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lozano came free, but Sergio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Moisés Arias came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Arias couldn't finish the play. In the 41stth minute of the game Alex Lozano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acuña's Sergio Frances was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sergio Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Lozano in the 42nd minute of the match. When Max Gómez came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Gómez couldn't finish the play. The Acuña players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Max Gómez to make the kick off. In the 72nd minute, Acuña's Samuel Cebo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Cebo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Acuña protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Cebo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 71st minute, one of Acuña:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Acuña. In the 77th minute, Max Gómez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Maximiliano Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Torrijos having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
