Acuña's Sergio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Bobocea in the 7th minute of play. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Koldo in the 8th minute of the match. Eugen Bobocea took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Frances. Sergio Frances dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 18th minute Maximiliano Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horea Hurmuzache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Șerban Damian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sergio Frances. Șerban Damian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Liviu Găvan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Sergio Frances made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Șerban Damian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horea Hurmuzache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Abadia in the 29th minute of play. Sergio Frances showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Bobocea, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Remus Elisei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of DINAMO booed when Acuña was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonides Koldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Sergio Frances showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Ardeleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Blanco got free with Horea Hurmuzache in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 57 minutes, Fabricio Abadia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acuña's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Abadia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, David Greblă made a precise shot to the right of Sergio Frances. Acuña's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 61st minute Eugen Bobocea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximiliano Blancos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Horea Hurmuzache to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sergio Frances made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Găvan in the 73rd minute of play. In the 81st minute, Șerban Damian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Frances was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. With a little luck, DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache got control of the ball when Maximiliano Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line.
