Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CRUZ DEL SUR's zone, Luciano Inverso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachariasz Dudkowski came out of the goal and Luciano Inverso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Zachariasz Dudkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grabiel Escorcia. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bautista Marcó in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juaneizu Merida saved Nacional from getting behind. With a little luck, CRUZ DEL SUR's Zachariasz Dudkowski got control of the ball when Grabiel Escorcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Grabiel Escorcia. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Carballo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CRUZ DEL SUR booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juaneizu Merida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Grabiel Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
