Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Cristian Sancho scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Afonso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Heriberto got free with Julio Vera in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Primitivo Andino made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Allan Åström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavino Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavino Afonso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Ramadita's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gavino Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Ramadita's Gavino Afonso did a great save. After 37 played minutes Club Atlético Ramadita got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Perfecto. In the 39th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gavino Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Allan Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eriberto Rexino hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atlético Ramadita.
