Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) When Zacarias Francesco came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Characate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Francesco couldn't finish the play. After 7 played minutes Characate FC got a freekick which was hit by David Lidman. After a rather tough play, Characate FC's Uriel Paio got a free kick in the 7th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Francesco went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Francesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Leopoldo Afonso sent off a good shot on target. Benjamin Price took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Leopoldo Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Francesco. Zacarias Francesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Leopoldo Afonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Afonso ran back to his position shaking his head. Zacarias Francesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. A hard shot 45 in the game by Zacarias Francesco from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Zacarias Francesco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Price having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Santikurtz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute, Leopoldo Afonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Rigoberto Mina fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Rigoberto Mina a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Emre Can took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gerardo Santikurtz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gisbert. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Afonso came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 80th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 84th minute of play. Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 minutes, Leon Napierkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Characate FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Napierkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Price took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Price came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
