With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Quattrocchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dave Quattrocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Laferrere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Dave Quattrocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Laferrere FC's Pascual Elorri got a free kick in the 54th minute. The attack was good, but when Edmundo Espiga in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 57 minutes into the match, Laferrere FC's goalkeeper Dave Quattrocchi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 62nd minute of play forced Laferrere FC's goalkeeper Dave Quattrocchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Laferrere FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
