Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Lindner F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Matheus Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Lindner F.C got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Roșeanu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Salles got free with Julio Vera in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matheus Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Keane in the 28th minute of play. Jeremias Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Lindner F.C booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Keane in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Harald Keane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. When Lindner F.C's Jeremias Salles in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Lindner F.C's goalkeeper Matheus Munhoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 64th minute Charlie Alfonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Munhoz having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
