Norbert Szigligeti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 3rd minute of play. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Szigligeti having to interfere. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Uruguay's Francisco Seco in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Salvino's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Salvino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Teofilo Salvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 24th minute of play. In the 25thth minute of the game Segundo Anaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Enrique Sustrai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norbert Szigligeti having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 32nd minute of play forced C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's goalkeeper Norbert Szigligeti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 40thth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute Segundo Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Desiderio Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Jaime Cazalla, 51 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Segundo Anaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Segundo Anaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Norbert Szigligeti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Uruguay booed when C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Blasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Uruguay booed when C.A. With his leg Norbert Szigligeti managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segundo Anaya in the 73rd minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Norbert Szigligeti managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Szigligeti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 79 played minutes C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza got a freekick which was hit by German Lorien. Norbert Szigligeti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 82nd minute of the match. The corner ended in Jaime Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti did a great save. C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Norbert Szigligeti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norbert Szigligeti having to make a save. After a rather tough play, C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza's Santiago Gaitan got a free kick in the 91st minute. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Norbert Szigligeti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Uruguay booed when C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Blasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Uruguay's Francisco Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.A. Justo J. de Urquiza.
