The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Turgay Hafi hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Nerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Turgay Hafi might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Turgay Hafi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Turgay Hafi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nunez Tano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turgay Hafi in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turgay Hafi. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. The Bancruz F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Clodoveo Matro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgay Hafi in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Geronimo Jaunti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Nerio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 65th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luz Tejedor. Ciro Nerio stood somewhat misplaced when Luz Tejedor came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Bancruz F.C made a substitution. Alfonso Tauro replaced Clodoveo Matro. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Çelikan Koçaş in the 78th minute of the match. Ciro Nerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Bancruz F.C made a substitution. Andro Konsap replaced Carlos Borghi. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Gallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Rafael Gallo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Nerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
