The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Patricio Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Redha Elin. That made the score 0-1 after 67 minutes of play. In the 70th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Kowalski in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawel Kowalski in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Redha Elin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
