Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paredes Soberano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Leripe Lifestyle's Paredes Soberano. Paredes Soberano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute Leripe Lifestyle were awarded a corner. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paredes Soberano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Passos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paredes Soberano narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
