Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cercadinho's Mugurel Zota did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play forced Cercadinho's goalkeeper Mugurel Zota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Abdulkadir Turay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Abdulkadir Turay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mugurel Zota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abdulkadir Turay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valiente Venezian made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Ricardinho Sousa got a free kick in the 60th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdulkadir Turay in the 65th minute of play. The Cercadinho fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Cercadinho's Valiente Venezian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 69th match minute, Cercadinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Mugurel Zota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Izydor Domamir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Mugurel Zota threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Cercadinho's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugurel Zota came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 88 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Mugurel Zota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's Walmir Pirani broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Cercadinho were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
