Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving 崔风常. 6-3. After having played for 96 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
