Venezuela's goalkeeper couldn't reach when César Soberano 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Tosta Neto F.C's Dráuzio Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 15th minute of play. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráuzio Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tosta Neto F.C's Luiz Eduardo Teles got a free kick in the 27th minute. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Dráuzio Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 29th minute, César Soberano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tosta Neto F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The supporters of Tosta Neto F.C booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when César Soberano in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zenaido Obaldia in the 45th minute of the match. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Soberano in the 52nd minute of play. Dráuzio Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Tosta Neto F.C's Dráuzio Azevedo managed to reach the ball for a save. 64 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráuzio Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tosta Neto F.C's Dráuzio Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 65th minute of play. Fernandinho Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tosta Neto F.C made a substitution. Makis Kakaroglou replaced César Soberano. Luiz Eduardo Teles hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráuzio Azevedo saved Tosta Neto F.C from getting behind. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráuzio Azevedo having to make a save. In the 85th minute, Zenaido Obaldia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 94th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tosta Neto F.C.
