The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santo Eate was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A Huracan's players had a chance to rest. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Generoso Cesario hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Generoso Cesario charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Cesario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.A Huracan's Generoso Cesario got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to C.A Huracan getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mateo Lorenz hit a great ball. The C.A Huracan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-4.

When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gregorio Velasco, 0-5. C.A Huracan's Gregorio Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Huracan from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Jago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 68th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the C.A Huracan defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Velasco. The C.A Huracan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Velasco should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Gregorio Velasco on his right side and into the goal. 86 minutes into the game it was 0-8. 90 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. In the 95th minute Wilfredo Ekaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
