Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off which started today's match. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel McQuarrie in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaltino Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enéas Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 9 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaltino Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the game, Geovanni de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Danone CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaltino Couto was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Samuel McQuarrie hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Isaltino Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enéas Carneiro. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaltino Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Mariano Lacasa sped through Danone CC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isaltino Couto. Orlando Casaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Isaltino Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Chile's Orlando Casaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Danone CC's Jeremias Velloso was substituted for Gernando Proença. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Velloso to make the kick off. Francisco Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Danone CC's Isaltino Couto. Isaltino Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 57 minutes into the match, Francisco Carballar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaltino Couto. Danone CC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Carballar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 60th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaltino Couto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Danone CC's Isaltino Couto got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Isaltino Couto made a huge save. 89 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 91 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Danone CC throughout the match.
