Isaltino Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the game, Geovanni de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Danone CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaltino Couto was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Samuel McQuarrie hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Mariano Lacasa sped through Danone CC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isaltino Couto. Orlando Casaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Isaltino Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Chile's Orlando Casaus nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Couto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute of play forced Danone CC's goalkeeper Isaltino Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Velloso to make the kick off. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Danone CC's Isaltino Couto got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Danone CC throughout the match.
