When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Colombo A.C.'s Julian Tomporowski got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thiago Pliego. Michal Burufski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Colombo A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Ali Nejat Özertem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Colombo A.C.'s Aitor Cintron in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Ali Nejat Özertem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile.

Lauro Neiva scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aitor Cintron in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. In the 56th minute Michal Burufski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Fontirroig came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ali Nejat Özertem could save by the left post. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombo A.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Colombo A.C. made a substitution. Ricardinho Dantas replaced Aitor Cintron. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colombo A.C.'s Ali Nejat Özertem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Colombo A.C. from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Casaus in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Nejat Özertem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Colombo A.C.'s Michal Burufski got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Colombo A.C. getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alfredo Meireles hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Colombo A.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Chile for much of the match.
