Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Paraguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie and right to Juan Diego Tenorio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gabriel Turi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tautvydas Mickevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pardo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hector Covarrubias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius did a great save. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 15th minute of the match. Tautvydas Mickevičius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Azibar to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Weterio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 32nd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tautvydas Mickevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Valentin Nicholas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davi Coutinho to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tautvydas Mickevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primitivo Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Tautvydas Mickevičius made a huge save. Davi Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valentin Nicholas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Tautvydas Mickevičius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Turi in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Weterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Turi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 86thth minute of the game Gabriel Turi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's zone, Primitivo Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tautvydas Mickevičius came out of the goal and Primitivo Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Paraguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA throughout the match.
