Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pablo Gimenez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Gilberto Frasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Gilberto Frasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Frutig. Pablo Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Gimenez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pablo Gimenez having to make a save. Zebastian Bratt hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Helbreath's Pablo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Helbreath defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Gimenez. The Helbreath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Gimenez should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Isaac Mitxel sent off a good shot on target. After 42 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. The Helbreath players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Frutig, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pablo Gimenez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Mitxel in the 71st minute of the match. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Helbreath's Teobaldo Ibar was substituted for Bartolo Ignazio. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Frutig in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pablo Gimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Arias during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Frasco hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Helbreath throughout the match.
