Lino Zonta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Lino Zonta succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Lino Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lino Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. João Carlos Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Carlos Oliveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Lino Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Thiago Mineiro with Lúcio Dionísio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Aílton Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Zonta went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. If Wellington Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Carlos Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hector Covarrubias sent off a good shot on target. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Lino Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Lino Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Aílton Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Aílton Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Many of Paraguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Paraguay may have spent more time on the ball, but ROSÁRIO SPORT were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
