The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dong Zhen Song read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Dong Zhen Song made a huge save. After 60 minutes, Luis Andino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Cabezones players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho had several of the Cabezones's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Dong Zhen Song as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience was convinced that Duran Hunalp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Dong Zhen Song didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dong Zhen Song having to interfere. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
