Isidoro Dolfos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. When Club Almirante Brown's Wilfredo Segio in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 20th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Dolfos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Bautista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of play forced Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Club Almirante Brown's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Bautista spun around in front of the goal 46 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Club Almirante Brown's Isidoro Dolfos. Isidoro Dolfos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Dolfos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 69th minute of play. Felix Montes got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Felix Montenegro. Isidoro Dolfos made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guido Bautista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Bautista in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Club Almirante Brown's goalkeeper Isidoro Dolfos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Isidoro Dolfos could save by the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Guido Bautista notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Abascal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Club Almirante Brown and deserved their victory. The Club Almirante Brown players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
