In the 15th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Mascia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Clovis Hénot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosimo Mascia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Efraim Gilabert's late challenge caught a LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efraim Gilabert helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO:s goal. After 32 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. The throw-in from Guntademaro Pena in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cosimo Mascia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Pascal Laadal hit a great ball. Cosimo Mascia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noureddine Sanchis to make the kick off. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Cosimo Mascia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th match minute, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Souvignet to maneuver through the defense. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cosimo Mascia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Cosimo Mascia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 59th minute of play. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosimo Mascia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julian Murillo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. A sloppy throw-in by Herbert Carette in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Sanchis in the 85th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru played a much better game than LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO and deserved their victory. The LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
