Tomas Berganza started the match with the kick off. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Noremberg in the 2nd minute of the match. Juan Ibañez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento's late challenge caught a Picapiedras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Sarmiento helped the player get up and apologised. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Tomas Berganza took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Ibañez. Juan Ibañez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Juan Ibañez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bala Cañon. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Tomas Berganza kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when Picapiedras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Eliazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Picapiedras FC's Juan Ibañez. Juan Ibañez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Ibañez prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Noremberg to make the kick off. Picapiedras FC's Russ Barton got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Juan Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Carita was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Picapiedras FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 68 played minutes Picapiedras FC got a freekick which was hit by Matias Berto. 78 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Noremberg came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Noremberg went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. Juan Ibañez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Hopgood in the 88th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Ibañez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Picapiedras FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Panama's performance. The match ended with a win for Panama.
