In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huacalera FC's goalkeeper Kaj Dahlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Casaus in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaj Dahlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Isaac Arnau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Kaj Dahlberg. Huacalera FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes Huacalera FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Frichoso. In the 31st minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Dahlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaj Dahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Casaus in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Rosendo Diagur tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. When Mariano Lacasa fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Mariano Lacasa a yellow card for diving instead. Mariano Lacasa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Huacalera FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Isaac Arnau hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 69th minute. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaj Dahlberg having to make a save. The supporters of Chile booed when Huacalera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Arnau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Diagur in the 92nd minute of the match. The Huacalera FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Chile to win.
