Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute Ivan Errando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre. Lester Serre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Lester Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Moises Gayoso managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Lester Serre came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lester Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lester Serre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Prospero Mergildo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Milagros Fraga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lorenzo Jerrold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Jerrold to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Honrio in the 53rd minute of play. San Lorenzo de Sarandi made a substitution. Baltasar Bartoleme replaced Ivan Errando. Luz Tejedor might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lester Serre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luz Tejedor ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Prats came free, but Lester Serre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Lester Serre made a huge save. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo de Sarandi from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Peru's Lester Serre threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Lorenzo de Sarandi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A sloppy throw-in by Alonso Berganza in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Baltasar Bartoleme. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Rosio in the 69th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Lester Serre made a huge save. With a little luck, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Lester Serre got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baltasar Bartoleme made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Lester Serre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 80th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Lester Serre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 91 minutes into the game, Prospero Mergildo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's 任竞剑 got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 95 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. The audience held their breath when Camilo Mouricio in the 97th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rolando Noboa's left hand side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
