Calistrat Bordeianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Calistrat Bordeianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Carp Team's Matei Cârstea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Carp Team's Calistrat Bordeianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carp Team's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Bordeianu came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calistrat Bordeianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of the match. Emilio Eguzki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carp Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Calistrat Bordeianu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 31st match minute, Carp Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Przemyslaw Falkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. Calistrat Bordeianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Calistrat Bordeianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matei Cârstea came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carp Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radomir Šiljak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Bordeianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matei Cârstea's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Cârstea, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Matei Cârstea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Carp Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Radomir Šiljak in the 56th minute. A nice corner shot did that Radomir Šiljak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Carp Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Calistrat Bordeianu, making the score, 1-2. 62 minutes into the match, Carp Team's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Calistrat Bordeianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Tutorskiy in the 66th minute of play. Nicu Postelnicescu charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicu Postelnicescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carp Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Postelnicescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Calistrat Bordeianu made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Calistrat Bordeianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Emilio Eguzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes of play, Carp Team's Emilio Eguzki made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
