The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Henrique Borges rounded Colombia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Henrique Borges nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Henrique Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Santino Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hansjörg Wastl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henrique Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Borges came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Hansjörg Wastl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hansjörg Wastl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Ivakin kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Axel Montenegro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hansjörg Wastl skillfully saved the ball. Hansjörg Wastl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Zé Ivakin hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hansjörg Wastl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Orlando Tafalla charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Tafalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

When Santino Seco fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Santino Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santino Seco to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Borges's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When Zé Ivakin fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's protests and gave Zé Ivakin a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Ivakin hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalie and right to Pascual Carballar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Hansjörg Wastl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 73rd minute of play. Hansjörg Wastl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Carvalho in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Edu Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ made a substitution. Valdemar Tepedino replaced Felippe Pitta. Hansjörg Wastl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 87th minute of play. The throw-in from Samuel Navarro in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Ionuț Hârlău. When Colombia's Abram Secada in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalie prevented a goal. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
