Alex Cambeiro struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Narciso Chus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. After 11 minutes, Dylan Sarmiento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Windingo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Windingo booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Chus. Windingo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 22 minutes into the game, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso Chus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 26th minute, Aaron Barrios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama were furious when Aaron Barrios was red carded, 28 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Panama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Windingo:s goal. Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Matias Bazil:s penalty. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Meder came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Chus having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Meder got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Miralles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Narciso Chus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliciano Herensuge. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Herensuge got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Matias Bazil's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a free kick in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Feliciano Herensuge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Feliciano Herensuge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Abraham Alguacil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Camilo Santiago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
