An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but João Vítor de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaviedes Arrese, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reimundo Casado in the 9th minute of the match. Diablos FC's João Vítor de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but João Vítor de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Kaviedes Arrese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaviedes Arrese could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 34th match minute, Diablos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reimundo Casado to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Cândido Júdice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaviedes Arrese in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diablos FC's João Vítor de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaviedes Arrese went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 46 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Diablos FC's Kaviedes Arrese fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaviedes Arrese to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Diablos FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cândido Júdice hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. João Vítor de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Diablos FC's Franklin Hostos was substituted for Moises Suane. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Vítor de Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. João Vítor de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Riego's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Cândido Júdice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. João Vítor de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
