Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliot Pfingst having to interfere. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nurkan Salah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Eliot Pfingst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliot Pfingst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Inestrosa in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliot Pfingst saved Southern Thrashers from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cai Inestrosa got free with Julio Vera in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliot Pfingst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Angelino Ospin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliot Pfingst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Nurkan Salah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Felix Montenegro sped through Southern Thrashers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eliot Pfingst. Cai Inestrosa succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 41st playminute. After 46 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cai Inestrosa was the one to do the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Cristian Sancho shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Eliot Pfingst and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eliot Pfingst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Eliot Pfingst in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Southern Thrashers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Eliot Pfingst despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Southern Thrashers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eliot Pfingst in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliot Pfingst having to interfere. In the 68thth minute of the game Cai Inestrosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliot Pfingst made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. After 71 minutes Southern Thrashers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Southern Thrashers's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliot Pfingst came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play forced Southern Thrashers's goalkeeper Eliot Pfingst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Eliot Pfingst. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Southern Thrashers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
