When Cosme Lano fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SyW Australia's protests and gave Cosme Lano a yellow card for diving instead. Abel Lizardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Finlay Stair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Lizardi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Finlay Stair's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Lluis in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, SyW Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Jarell Hill came free, but Abel Lizardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Finlay Stair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Lizardi. SyW Australia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Finlay Stair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Nardo in the 33rd minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Lluis struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Demonde Jacobson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SyW Australia. The supporters of SyW Australia booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamaall Padmore didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kordal Duff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Nardo in the 56th minute of play. If Karlus Waugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Finlay Stair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SyW Australia's Abel Lizardi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When SyW Australia's Edgardo Lluis in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Bernabe Luzea made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
