Eduardo Fontirroig who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Abel Lizardi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Eduardo Fontirroig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Lizardi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bernabe Luzea struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Camilo Freixa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SyW Australia. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Francisco Gallo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Alfredo Ferrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The SyW Australia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bolivia's performance. The match ended with a win for Bolivia.
