Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Neal Weatherby might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neal Weatherby ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 3rd minute, Steven Chaptal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Chaptal. In the 8th minute Elderslie Magpies were awarded a corner. Rick Souness went to the cornerflag to take it. Steven Chaptal made a great header on Elderslie Magpies's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Christian Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Neal Weatherby. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 15th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Etxekopar in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Neal Weatherby dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of the match. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Weatherby in the 25th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ralph Gorham hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Kerville skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute, Rick Souness left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elderslie Magpies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neal Weatherby in the 37th minute of play. Steven Chaptal in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neal Weatherby in the 43rd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Rick Souness recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Rick Souness showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Neal Weatherby made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Kerville. Christian Kerville dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neal Weatherby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Kerville made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pere Villanueva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neal Weatherby, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Kerville having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pere Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
