In the 11th minute, one of Los Liquisue FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Liquisue FC. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Mexico. Joel Gaona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Uwe Septinius. 1-2. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Septinius having to interfere. Los Liquisue FC's Uwe Septinius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of play. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe Septinius. Uwe Septinius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 23 minutes into the match, Los Liquisue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Uwe Septinius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Grigoris Berzovitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Lautaro Mancebo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-4 in the 28th minute. Mexico's Joel Gaona suffered a sore knee after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Flemming Derigs's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flemming Derigs helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Los Liquisue FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Flemming Derigs hit a great ball. Uwe Septinius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 40th minute of play forced Los Liquisue FC's goalkeeper Uwe Septinius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flemming Derigs thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Uwe Septinius, a very annoying self made goal in the 44th minute which led to 1-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Federico Insúa made a kick off. The supporters of Los Liquisue FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Edgard Kusko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Uwe Septinius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 65th minute of play forced Los Liquisue FC's goalkeeper Uwe Septinius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Los Liquisue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lautaro Mancebo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uwe Septinius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Cazalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uwe Septinius made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigoris Berzovitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Berzovitis in the 87th minute of play. A hard shot 89 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Uwe Septinius managed to make a qualified save. Los Liquisue FC's players were relieved. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Uwe Septinius threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bautista Elvira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 93rd minute Federico Insúa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Los Liquisue FC's goalkeeper Uwe Septinius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Norberto Acevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
