Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Mpenza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the last second Joaquin Gayoso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luiz Leo in the 12thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After having played for 16 minutes, Luiz Leo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Leo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Leo in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Mpenza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Márcio Seabra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Márcio Seabra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luiz Leo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 30th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Leo let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 31st minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Camilo Franco hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Seabra came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Jacinto got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Luiz Leo lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Joaquin Gayoso. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Leo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Maximiliano Escribano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canarinho Atordoado's Dé Mello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dé Mello. Luiz Leo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The Canarinho Atordoado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Canarinho Atordoado were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Mpenza took the corner. Stayko Gorbanov made a great header on Canarinho Atordoado's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. Canarinho Atordoado's Fabián Nesta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arturo Carvallo in the 77 minute of the game.
