The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Vachon to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Nardo. After some careless play in the Zuberbühler FC defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri. The Zuberbühler FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri should have stopped the shot. Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Marciano Min got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri. Zuberbühler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 37th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Marciano Min stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Marciano Min tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abelardo Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saul Baumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Saul Baumer made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuberbühler FC's Saul Baumer. But to his dismay, Saul Baumer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 59th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Zuberbühler FC made a substitution. Tiberiu Fința replaced Mariano Berart. In the 66th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Saul Baumer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 78 minutes into the game, Florentino Lastur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Jonathan Iruinea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Valentin Altúnov hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Zuberbühler FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Zorita getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Zuberbühler FC's Venancio Calisto got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 88th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Abbondanzieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Zuberbühler FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
