With an all-out effort, Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Ruben, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Uranga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Antonio Uranga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Izydor Czubski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. A collision led to Real Kuskatan C.F. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marco Ruben hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Real Kuskatan C.F.'s zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Uranga came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Ruben, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Real Kuskatan C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Uranga was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 74 minutes, André Ferro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Kuskatan C.F. and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s Juan Campos was substituted for Marco Ruben. After 81 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Feliks Drzewucki who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita shot a long shot in the 89th minute and a light blocked Antonio Uranga hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-4. 93 minutes into the game, Izydor Czubski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Kuskatan C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Izydor Czubski hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
